The Gardens in Yalding, near Maidstone feels like a quintessential English wedding venue. It’s set in 12 acres of historic gardens and their outside ceremony space is rather special. With enough seating for 120 guests, it’s an idyllic setting for you to perform your vows. The long aisle, which is covered in wisteria, creates a stunning scene from which to make your entrance too. This is another venue which photographers love, as the open space means we can get around discreetly catching all angles and the emotion of the guests.
The tipis which are connected to the barn feel cosy and have a great ambience, thanks to the fairy lights and fire pits. It’s quite a mix of modern and traditional here.
Your preparations can take place upstairs and you can make use of the landing up there too. I love to look down from the balcony and capture guests arriving and it’s also a great spot for me to use for your group photo too.
