A THREE DAY TUSCAN WEDDING AT VIGNAMAGGIO
Georgina and Aaron celebrated their destination wedding over three days at Vignamaggio in Tuscany, inviting their friends and families to arrive, settle in, and enjoy being together without rushing. It felt like a weekend shaped around people… time to talk, to laugh, to linger over meals and conversations.
They are close to their families, and that closeness ran through everything. Parents, siblings, friends and their little boy Ronnie, who was a very special part of the whole celebration. This wasn’t a wedding that existed in isolation from real life. It reflected it, and it had a whole lot of heart.
July in Tuscany brings intense heat, and the pace of the weekend followed that reality. Long days, strong sun, slower transitions. The celebrations were expertly planned by Susanna Richardson and her team at Everything Organised, with a clear structure across the three days that allowed guests to relax into the experience.
Visually, the wedding was stunning! confident, expressive and richly layered. Florals by Tuscany Flowers were abundant throughout the weekend, evolving in colour, texture and mood as the celebrations unfolded.
The welcome was bold and joyful, with blue and white checks, bursts of orange and full, colour-soaked blooms, before giving way to a softer, more romantic palette on the wedding day itself. Unmistakably elegant and luxurious.
Day One – Something Blue
The welcome party was Georgina and Aaron’s Something Blue, an idea introduced by Susanna. Bright blue checks set the tone, and many guests leaned into the colour in their outfits….always a win when you’re choosing what to wear.
Pizza was shared, wine flowed, and people settled in quickly. By the end of the evening, everyone felt at ease with the setting, with each other, and quietly excited for what was still to come.
The Wedding Morning
The wedding morning had a wonderful energy. Georgina got ready with her bridesmaids and her mum in a room full of warmth and laughter.
She wore a gown from The Wedding Club, designed by Steven Khalil so feminine and beautifully detailed. A dress with both drama and romance, and one that had a real sense of ceremony when it came to getting into it. Those moments made for some of my favourite bridal preparation photographs.
Hair and makeup was by Chloe GH Bridal, who was far more than a stylist in the room. Chloe was a calm anchor throughout the morning – steady, reassuring and quietly in control. Her presence shaped the atmosphere, allowing everything to flow easily and giving Georgina and the girls the space to enjoy the morning fully.
Pietro Brindelli was filming alongside me, and we worked in much the same way ….quietly and instinctively, giving each other space and letting moments unfold naturally.
Elsewhere, Aaron and the boys were getting ready in black suits dressed by Clements and Church. There was a real sense of ceremony to it too, which in some ways echoed the feeling of a football changing room for Aaron. Everything laid out perfectly, run with precision, like the most beautiful military operation! Absolute groom-prep goals, in my opinion. Unforgettable.
This part of the morning was captured expertly by Kay who always works closely with me on events like this. We’re completely in tune, and she mirrors my style perfectly.
The Ceremony
The ceremony took place outdoors in forty-degree heat. Fans were in constant motion, guests shifted in their seats, and the sun was ever-present!
Visually, the ceremony softened beautifully. Florals by Tuscany Flowers moved into fluffy pinks and pale blush tones…. abundant, feminine and romantic. The palette worked effortlessly with Georgina’s dress and brought a softness to the stone surroundings of Vignamaggio.
Despite the conditions, guests stayed present and focused. It was intense, but it was shared – and that gave the ceremony its meaning.
Dinner, speeches and design
Dinner was a spectacle. Styled by Tuscany Flowers and designed by Everything Organised, the tables were layered with colour, texture, and light. Chandeliers hung above the top table, and the entire space felt cinematic.
As I was photographing the table settings before guests were seated, the heat made itself known in the smallest details. The candles had already started to melt…. not from being lit too early, but simply from the sun. Normally, staff hold off lighting candles for exactly that reason, but this time the heat had beaten everyone to it. Wax softening and dripping in real time. I’ve genuinely never seen anything like it. Mad!! and such a perfect snapshot of just how intense that Tuscan summer evening was.
Aaron and Georgina made their entrance from the balcony of the building, walking down into dinner together, greeted with warmth and applause. The speeches were staggered throughout the meal, allowing the light to change and each moment to stand on its own. Emotional, funny, and heartfelt, they held the space completely.
The evening
After the speeches, Georgina changed into her Vivienne Westwood dress and the celebration spilled outside. A roaming band moved easily through the guests, lifting the energy instantly, all part of the evening shaped by Comex Entertainment, who had also carried the atmosphere through dinner.
As the night unfolded, Irish music took over. A fiddler duo led the dancing, and Georgina’s heritage became part of the heartbeat of the evening, woven naturally into the celebration.
Later, the party moved underground into the venue’s private club. It felt like stepping into another world. A true after-party – loud, joyful, intimate, and completely alive.
The final day
The third day brought a pool party for the guests. Full of colour, easy energy, and summer spirit, with cherry reds and pinks running through the styling and florals. It felt like the perfect closing chapter to a weekend that had already given everyone so much.
A reflection
Aaron and Georgina are surrounded by people who love them deeply. Their families, their friends, and their son Ronnie. That love was the constant thread through every moment of this wedding.
