Steph and Sam married at Cooling Castle Barn on a sunny day in September. The beautiful Steph, along with all of her family stayed at Decoy Farm Cottages for a few days before the wedding and thats where they all got ready too. The cottages are really lovely, set in stunning surroundings and located just a short drive from Cooling.
As soon as I arrived, I received the warmest welcome from everyone….. and I just loved their geordie accents too! When I first met Steph, we chatted like we had been friends for years and we stayed in contact right up until the big day too. She had told me that she had hired an Aston Martin from Premier Carriage Company as a gift to her dad and Sam, so I loved the fact that I was able to capture her dad, Albie’s reaction when he first saw it (even though he was mortified that he had his pj’s on, sorry Albie!) Having got to know Steph so well, I knew how close she was to her parents and I had to keep clicking through my tears when she appeared in her dress for her dad to see for the first time.
The beautiful bridesmaids looked so elegant and classy in their Topshop dresses and proved that high street can provide a real wow factor too…..and they will of course be able to wear them again which is a bonus!
The ceremony was so touching, with the most lovely registrars who really did make it extra special. I loved capturing Sam’s face while he was waiting for Steph and then the little looks they exchanged throughout too. This whole wedding was incredibly beautiful, emotional but also lots of fun. Steph & Sam are both dancers who have performed on some of the biggest stages so there was obviously going to be some expectation for them to do something special and boy did they deliver! If I’m honest, I wanted to put my camera down and just watch in awe, but I kept on clicking, determined not to miss a thing. It was absolutely amazing and then when everyone thought it was all over, Sam reappeared in the shortest shorts with the other members of his dance act The Bo Diddlers, an alternative Morris Dancing group, who were just hilarious.
Steph recently wrote me the most lovely testimonial which you can view here
