Some weddings feel like a full circle moment.
Scarlett and I first met years ago when she was a bridesmaid at a wedding I photographed. She stayed in my mind… one of those people whose energy is magnetic. So when her destination wedding enquiry came through all this time later, I was genuinely thrilled.
And then she said Tuscany.
Done!
Before Italy, there was an intimate London moment.
Scarlett and Jez had their civil ceremony at Marylebone Town Hall. Just the two of them and their closest family and friends. Stripped back, meaningful, no fuss. It felt like the beginning of something very exciting.
Then we all headed to Tuscany….

Tuscany Wedding Venue
Castello di Bibbione is exactly what you want from a Tuscan wedding venue.
Rolling hills, warm light, space to breathe… it doesn’t try too hard, and that’s why it works so well. Everything feels calm, considered, and best of all…..bathed in golden sunshine.
We stayed just down the road at Salvadonica, which I’d recommend to anyone planning a wedding at Castello di Bibbione. It’s about 5–10 minutes away, views for days, and perfect for guests who want that full Tuscany experience without any stress. I’d go back there for a holiday!
Welcome Party
The night before set the tone straight away.
Pizza, wine, long tables under the Tuscan sky… it felt relaxed in the best possible way. Everyone arriving, easing into it, that first moment where it all starts to feel real.
The styling was simple but spot on. Red and white stripes, fresh basil, tomatoes scattered across the tables… it had that effortless Italian feel that works so well at Castello di Bibbione. Nothing overdone, just confident, considered, and exactly right for the setting.
What I always notice with a destination wedding in Tuscany, especially somewhere like Castello di Bibbione, is how quickly people settle.
You’re not just turning up for a few hours. You’re there, living it for a few days. People relax, conversations flow, and those natural, unplanned moments start happening straight away. Friends catching up with a drink in hand. Guests perched on stone walls as the sun drops. A child completely focused on a pizza, oblivious to everything else!
By the end of the evening, everyone felt connected and that changes everything for the wedding day
That ease didn’t happen by chance. It was down to Monica and Valentina from Weddings on Demand, who had been quietly holding everything together behind the scenes from the very beginning.
There’s a calm that comes with working with planners who really know what they’re doing. Nothing feels forced, nothing feels rushed… everything just flows in the way it’s supposed to.
And that allows everyone else to relax into it.
Wedding Day
By the time the wedding day arrived at Castello di Bibbione, everything already felt settled.
People weren’t arriving cold. They were already in it. Comfortable, connected, fully present… and that changes the energy completely.
The morning was calm, no rush, no unnecessary noise. Just those quiet pockets of anticipation before everything begins.
The ceremony took place in the gardens of Castello di Bibbione, a castle set high in the Chianti hills.
Set against rolling vineyards and olive groves, with that warm Tuscan light moving through the trees as the sun began to set. Guests gathered in close… excitred….it felt intimate and special.
From there, the whole day just unfolded.
Drinks in the sun, people drifting between conversations, that golden light starting to drop over the hills. The kind of atmosphere where you don’t need to orchestrate anything… you just watch it happen.
My husband was there with me capturing everything behind the scenes and flying the drone, which gave a completely different perspective of Castello di Bibbione. Seeing everyone gathered from above, surrounded by that landscape, it really hits you how incredible that setting is
As the evening moved in, everything softened.
Long tables, candlelight, speeches that had everyone either laughing or trying to hold it together. Those in-between moments where people lean in, react, connect… that’s always where the real story is.
What I loved most…
…about this wedding at Castello di Bibbione was how it balanced everything.
It had style. It had presence. But it also had depth… real people, real reactions, nothing staged or overworked.
And that’s what stays with you.
There was a real sense of family woven through the whole day. The pride, the laughter, the way people leaned in during the speeches… you could see how much they’re held.
And that always says more than anything else.
Everything ran seamlessly, but more importantly, it still felt personal. Not over-managed, not over-styled or rushed… just beautifully considered.
That balance is hard to get right, and Monica and Valentina do it incredibly well.
