Plus, being part of the Soho House group, you know it’s going to be stylish and perfectly run.

Why I Love Photographing Weddings at Oakley Court

The light at Oakley Court is something else. Whether it’s streaming through those gorgeous tall windows or reflecting off the Thames at sunset, it always finds a way to make everything look soft and glowing. Inside, the sweeping staircase is a dream for portraits—elegant but not over the top—and the rooms feel beautifully curated, with just the right mix of historic charm and modern flair.

And then there’s the riverside. At golden hour, it’s pure magic. Those quiet, romantic moments by the water are some of my favourites to capture—it’s like the world just slows down for a second.

What Makes Oakley Court Special?

What I love most about Oakley Court is how relaxed it feels. Despite its grandeur (turrets! a mansion! 33 acres!), it never feels intimidating. The staff are incredible—calm, welcoming, and the kind of people who seem to genuinely love what they do. That ease trickles down to the couples and their guests, and it always shows in the photos.

And for a little fun fact? Oakley Court has made its way into a few films over the years, including The Rocky Horror Picture Show. Don’t worry—your day will be far less chaotic (unless that’s your vibe, of course).
