There’s something about photographing a bride you’ve known before the big day, and Danea was no exception. I first met her when she modelled for one of my bridal editorials—she’s a total vision (we’re talking major girl crush here). She even wore the same Avenue by Josephine Scott dress she modelled in, giving the day this serendipitous, full-circle feel.
Getting Ready at Raffles OWO: Fashion, Luxury, and Plenty of Style
The day started at Raffles OWO in London, a super-luxury hotel that feels like stepping into another world. This place is just breathtaking—a dream location for any wedding photographer. Danea was getting ready with her mum and sister, and it was so relaxed that we had time to capture all those gorgeous details. She wore lingerie from Lyla Lupa (another fabulous choice), and as her makeup artist, Jenny Ojo, worked her magic, it felt more like a fashion shoot than a typical wedding morning.
And in a lovely twist, Leo joined us near the end of her prep. Yes, the groom showed up in the bridal suite—and it was fabulous! There’s something fun about flipping the traditional order, and it made for some unique, laid-back portraits of them together around the hotel, especially on that staircase. This time in their timeline was pure gold, and it’s exactly why I always suggest couples build in those extra moments to just be themselves.

The Ceremony at Chelsea Town Hall: Intimate, Emotional, and a Little Bit Playful
Then it was off to Chelsea Town Hall for their ceremony, where Danea and Leo exchanged vows with their two dogs right there beside them! The atmosphere was intimate, personal, and sprinkled with touches of home for Danea, like readings in her native language. The connection between them was undeniable, and their love brought everyone a little closer, with laughter and a few tears.
Afterwards, we captured confetti and guest photos on the famous steps. I just loved the blend of chic city style and the couple’s easygoing vibe. The way they looked at each other said it all—you could feel the joy.

The Ivy Chelsea Garden: A Modern Love Story with a London Twist
We strolled to The Ivy Chelsea Garden, stopping along the way for photos that felt straight out of a Richard Curtis rom-com. With some music playing and Danea looking every bit the modern bride in her chic mini dress, Chanel bag in hand, and Prada heels—it was like I had my own icon to photograph, Carrie Bradshaw-style! It was pure magic, blending a touch of high fashion with London’s classic cityscape. The buses rolled by, the iconic Town Hall steps stood behind us, and the vibe was just so quintessentially London.
Once at The Ivy, the celebration continued with laughter, drinks, and some of the most touching speeches. Capturing Danea “off duty” from her model life felt like a special privilege—just her, Leo, and the people they love, all celebrating together. It’s a side of my work that I absolutely love, seeing couples so real and genuine amidst all the glamour.

A London Wedding That’s All About Style and Heart
Danea and Leopoldo’s day was a reminder that small weddings in London can be anything but ordinary. With iconic spots like Raffles OWO and Chelsea Town Hall, they created a day that was uniquely theirs—intimate, stylish, and full of heart. For anyone searching for a London luxury wedding photographer or dreaming of an intimate city wedding with a fashion twist, this was a celebration that showed just how beautiful (and stylish!) a London wedding can be.
