Lisa & Ricky’s Leeds Castle wedding was such a grand affair. Lisa is a good friend so I was guest and photographer for this wedding which meant we got to stay in the Castle too! When I walked in the room where the preparations were taking place my jaw dropped, it was just stunning. Nicola Peen was doing everyone’s makeup and Vicki Lord the hair, what a team!
I had seen photos of Lisa’s dress but it looked even better on and I think is one of the most beautiful dresses I have ever seen….and very Lisa! She looked incredible. As she stepped out ready to walk down the stairs, all of the tourists that were walking around the castle stopped and stared, it was so lovely to see as Lisa really was a stunning bride who looked like she belonged in the castle. The ceremony was lovely and full of laughter, never a couple to take anything too seriously, there were some changes to the vows which made everyone giggle. After the ceremony we were taken off in the buggy to do some photos. The grounds are huge and there is no way we would have been able to use all of the locations if we hadn’t had this, so it was brilliant. Being a May wedding, the weather was touch and go that week, but the sun shone down for their day and made for a really beautiful wedding. It was so lovely to sit down and enjoy dinner with my husband and all the guests, and the food was divine……again in such amazing surroundings! When it came to the evening in Fairfax Hall, I got some photos of their first dance but then put my camera down and danced into the night. A really beautiful wedding for such a gorgeous couple!
