Luxury Summer Wedding at Leeds Castle, Maidstone
Lisa & Ricky’s beautiful Leeds Castle wedding was filled with elegance and glamour and took place on a hot and sunny day in May. I was in a unique position for this wedding, as Lisa is one of my good friends, so I was photographer and guest at the same time. It meant I got to experience the wedding from the point of view of supplier and guest along with my husband.

We arrived early and my husband relaxed in the room while I went off to photograph Lisa and her bridesmaids getting ready.
I had photographed a couple of weddings here previously, but none where I had captured the preparations within the Castle. The room that Lisa got ready in was stunning and made this part of the day really beautiful to capture. The ceremony then took place in the dining room which was the perfect backdrop for the style of this pretty and elegant wedding.
As the castle and its grounds are so vast, they offer to take you out on a buggy so for the photos, which means that you can explore more than you would be able to on foot. This way, you can use all of the different backdrops without spending too much time away from your guests.
The wedding breakfast in the Henry VIII Banqueting hall felt so grand and I love the table set up here. It gives a very social feel to what could otherwise be a very formal location.
