A Fashion-Led Wedding at Claridge’s
This unforgettable wedding at Claridge’s in London was a true celebration of modern romance and editorial beauty. From the bride’s minimalist Danielle Frankel gown to the candlelit reception and relaxed city portraits, every detail reflected timeless elegance with a fashion-forward edge.
Planning & Coordination
The day was expertly planned by Susanna Richardson of Everything Organised, whose calm, precise coordination ensured a seamless flow from morning preparations to the final dance. With a thoughtful, detail-led approach, she created a relaxed yet luxurious experience for Caitlin, Freddie, and their guests.
Every aspect of the day was considered with care — from timelines to transitions — allowing the celebration to unfold effortlessly and with intention.
Design & Atmosphere
The design concept for the day centred around an all-white floral palette paired with candlelight and architectural elegance. The reception was held in Claridge’s iconic ballroom, where hundreds of candles lined mirrored walls and the aisle, creating a soft, golden glow throughout the space.
Guests returned from Marylebone to find the drinks reception area transformed into a dramatic, immersive setting — warm, romantic, and full of atmosphere.
The floral and candlelit styling was crafted by Ruth from All For Love, whose artistic eye brought depth and beauty to every corner of the venue.
The Bride’s Look: Danielle Frankel Bridal
Caitlin, a South African model, chose a minimalist, high-fashion gown by Danielle Frankel Bridal—a designer I’ve long admired. The gown’s refined silhouette and quiet power were perfect for the mood of the day. Seeing it hanging in a Claridge’s suite was a photographer’s dream. Caitlin’s bridal style embodied everything I love about fashion-forward wedding photography: elevated, editorial, and effortlessly modern.
For brides seeking a London luxury wedding with a couture edge, Danielle Frankel Bridal is bridal fashion at its best.
A Relaxed Morning at Claridge’s
Caitlin’s morning prep was laid-back and full of laughter. In the beautiful suites at Claridge’s, she was surrounded by her bridesmaids while I captured portraits in soft natural light. Meanwhile, my second shooter Kay photographed Freddie at home with his dad and brother-in-law — yes, including an ice bath before the ceremony. Iconic.
His calm energy, classic suit, and cool demeanor set the tone for the day to come.
A Walk Through London + A Secret to Share
After their intimate ceremony in Marylebone, we strolled through the streets of London, capturing spontaneous, editorial-style portraits that reflected the couple’s love for the city. Caitlin and Freddie kept things natural, skipping anything overly posed in favour of authenticity.
Later, back at Claridge’s, Caitlin quietly shared her surprise — she was expecting. They planned to use one of their wedding portraits to announce the pregnancy, and I was so honoured to capture that private, powerful moment.
The Reception: A Candlelit Masterpiece
The Claridge’s reception was pure magic. Hundreds of candles cast a warm glow throughout the space, paired with rich floral designs that felt both luxurious and romantic. Ruth from All For Love crafted the most elegant atmosphere — it was nothing short of showstopping.
Caitlin cut the cake and tossed her bouquet before changing into her evening dress — still wearing her Danielle Frankel gown like a modern-day muse.
After-Party Style: The Wedding Club
For the party, Caitlin changed into a sleek mini from The Wedding Club, perfect for their first dance and a full-on Claridge’s dance floor moment. Freddie, in his Gatsby-worthy tux, and Caitlin brought an old-Hollywood energy that made the night unforgettable.
With Comex Entertainment setting the tone, the dance floor was packed from the very first beat.
