Some mornings at Claridge’s just stay with you. Louise’s wedding morning was one of them. The Royal Suite looked incredible in the soft London light, and the atmosphere was relaxed, happy and full of laughter. She was surrounded by her mum, nan and her bridesmaid Faye….who honestly deserves her own mention. Faye had the playlist, the calm energy and the kind of warmth every bride hopes for.
Louise’s look was stunningly classy and timeless with a low bun, flawless makeup by Laura Hulbert Creative and a modern gown by Jenny Yoo from Halo & Wren Bridal. Later, she changed into a second dress by Delavali for the evening, which suited the party perfectly.
The walk from Farm Street Church to Claridge’s
After a beautiful Catholic ceremony at Farm Street Church, guests walked back through Mayfair to Claridge’s…. one of my favourite moments to photograph. There’s something about that short walk, the excitement, the city buzzing softly around everyone, that feels so alive.
The reception at Claridge’s
Drinks were held in the French Salon, always one of the most elegant spaces in London, followed by dinner in the Drawing Room. The flowers, designed by family friend Louise Langdon, were romantic and full of texture, filling the room with warmth. The speeches were heartfelt, and the night ended with one of the best parties I’ve seen… Entourage, Tyler Rix and Phoebe D’Abo were a pretty epic combo!
My love of Claridge’s weddings
Having photographed so many weddings at Claridge’s, I’ve come to know how the light moves through each room. The French Salon, the Drawing Room, the Royal Suite. It’s a hotel that photographs beautifully at every hour, and it never loses that sense of London sophistication.
