When it came to choosing our wedding photographer we didn’t even have to think about it – we knew that we would choose Kerry. We had met Kerry originally in 2010 when she photographed my cousin’s wedding and she had since photographed two other close friends’ weddings. The photos Kerry produced of each individual wedding were amazing and captured the spirit of each wedding perfectly so we were confident that Kerry would capture our wedding in the same way.
Of course when it came to our wedding in August 2012, Kerry didn’t disappoint. Kerry visited our venue before the big day so she was familiar with the location and quickly made a great connection with our venue owner which made the planning and communication in the run up to the wedding much easier. On the day Kerry was in all the right places at all the right times to capture lots of great pictures, from getting ready through until after dinner speeches Kerry has a way of capturing moments without even noticing she is there most of the time! We had a lot of group photos that Kerry organised with a great balance of directing people in an informal and relaxed manner. As we had planned and organised a lot of the finer details ourselves we were eager to capture these details in our photos as well and Kerry made sure all this was covered without us having to think about anything on the day.
One of the things that really stood out for us with Kerry was that having her there during the wedding day was like having another guest there. I’ve been to some weddings where the photographer was like a stranger and was very business like which stood out like a sore thumb in the wedding atmosphere. With Kerry it’s more like having a friend taking your photos as she made friends and family feel at ease very quickly. When we received our photos – beautifully presented in an exciting little package – we were so happy with them – they tell a story of the day and capture moments we hadn’t even remembered. They represent the style and feel of our day perfectly and are brilliant images of such an important day that we will treasure for ever.
