There are some weddings that you simply feel. Even without sharing faces, you can sense the emotion, the energy, and the beauty of the day through the details alone.
This private celebration at The Ned, London was one of those days — deeply romantic, elegant, and filled with atmosphere. Planned by The Planning Suite, the design was a perfect balance of warmth and sophistication.
The Setting
The Ned is one of London’s most distinctive venues — a former bank transformed into a grand hotel that still retains its sense of history and drama. Its Art Deco architecture, marble columns, and candlelit spaces create a backdrop that feels cinematic and intimate all at once.
For this celebration, the styling combined bold, warm tones with softer, romantic details. The floral design by Mary Jane Vaughan filled the space with texture and depth — a mix of rich colour, natural shapes, and an abundance of candlelight that made the entire room glow.
Collaboration and Details
It was a joy to work alongside HD Moments once again. Their approach to storytelling through film always complements my own — quietly observing, capturing emotion, and creating something timeless together.
Every element of the day was beautifully considered. From bespoke stationery by Billie Louise Design to live entertainment by Creation Events, it was a celebration that felt effortlessly elegant and full of heart.
The ceremony, led by Sarah Sweeney Celebrant, was personal and heartfelt — a reminder that the most meaningful moments often unfold quietly, without spectacle.
A Private, Meaningful Celebration
I’ve had the privilege of photographing several private weddings this year, and each one has reaffirmed my belief that intimacy and discretion can be every bit as powerful as grandeur. This celebration at The Ned was the perfect example — stylish, emotional, and unmistakably London.
Even without faces, you can feel the story through the atmosphere — the light, the movement, the colour, and the emotion woven into every frame.
