Linzi & Steve’s Preston Court Wedding took place in the Summer of 2015 and was really rather special. Linzi started the day at The Bell Hotel in Sandwich which is always a popular choice for a Preston Court bride as its not only a lovely venue but also ideally situated close by. When I arrived Chloe Pritchard had already done Linzi’s makeup and was working on the bridesmaids. The talented Vicki Lord was in charge of Linzi’s tresses and as always, I was excited to see what she had created under that hair net. Once ready Linzi looked incredible in her fishtail style dress.
The ceremony took place on Juliana’s Island as the weather was wonderful and it was so moving to see how emotional Steve was as she arrived at the gazebo. When you have the ceremony on the Island, its just close family and the bridal party that are situated on there with you, with the guests gathered just across the water. Couples often say that they love this set up as it makes it feel more intimate but its still nice that all the guests can be a part of it and hear all that is going on with the microphone.
The attention to detail at this wedding was beautiful and I loved their table settings…..so unusual and very personal to them. Their table plan made up of polaroids of each guest was such a great idea and one of the best I’ve ever seen. It was a real talking point for all of the guests and look brilliant too. Something else with the ‘wow’ factor was their yummy cake which was surrounded by truffles and had a little shot for them to down too. It was all made by Linzi’s very clever brother.
This wedding was so much fun and while it all looked stunning, it was incredibly relaxed. Everyone was there for a great time and to celebrate the marriage of this gorgeous couple. There was so much emotion throughout, especially during the speeches and I just love the fact that Steve jumped on the chair to say what he had to say. All of the unusual choices are what made this wedding one of the best I’ve ever had the pleasure of capturing. Steve was definitely one of the coolest grooms I’ve ever seen with a style so cool and quirky but so ‘him’. Linzi looked like a the glamorous hollywood movie star but at the same time, incredibly effortless and naturally beautiful. They all made the most of the carousel too and it was brilliant to capture all of their giggles. Now its over to the photos in which you can hopefully see just what a fantastic day it was.
